Caeli had a great time celebrating her sixth birthday with some of her friends at Build a Bear Workshop. She had such a great time there for her 4th birthday that she really wanted to do her 6th birthday there again. Her other special request was for chihuahua cupcakes, and well, I tried. They weren’t the prettiest pups, but the kids did not mind and they were pretty tasty. As for bears, Caeli emerged with a Hannah Montana bear named “Stuffy” and Carsten made a puppy originally named “Dog.”

Gold Coast Girl

We weren’t sure how much Caeli would remember from last year’s ski lessons, but apparently, she remembered quite well! When we returned to Squaw Valley this year, Caeli jumped right back into her lessons, and floored us when she and her instructor announced that she was doing intermediate runs! Caeli had such an awesome time, preferring the Gold Coast run because it was “more funner” when she goes fast. She even learned how to ski backwards and was hopping on fresh powder!

Gymnast

Every Thursday, Caeli goes to gymnastics before school. The best part about her gym is that she gets to use “real” apparatus! Caeli loves swinging from the bars and dropping down into a pit of foam blocks, walking on the balance beam, or even swinging from rings (at her age, they get to do both girls and boys “events”). Today was open floor day for the parents, which meant we got to walk around with them with our cameras! Here she is getting ready to go for a swing!
